This eModule provides a general overview of Johnson & Johnson’s WiSTEM2D initiative, the STEM2D philosophy, and general roles and responsibilities.

It is designed for mentors, site coordinators and program partners of the the global Johnson &Johnson funded WiSTEM2D program.

WiSTEM2D Volunteer Orientation

This eModule helps volunteers/youth navigators spark STEM2D enchantment and excitement among girls, tell their story, engage girls, and facilitate group dynamics.

WiSTEM2D Team Lead Orientation

This eModule helps team leads understand their role in the WiSTEM2D initiative, provides practical planning advice, including how to register the event with Talent for Good, select the venue and student activity, and recruit volunteers. It also reviews the data collection process and STEM2D resources available to team leads.

This self-directed eLearning Module explores a student-centered approach. Learn strategies to increase youth confidence and build their problem-solving and teamwork skills. Being student-centered is critical to building STEM identity.

The Importance of Role Models in Education & Career Exploration

This self-directed eLearning Module helps adults understand how role models can support youth to develop their STEM identity. Gain tips for how to engage youth with diverse role models in STEM and how to be a supportive role model.

Creating a Positive STEM2D Identity

This self-directed eLearning Module looks at STEM identity and how adults can foster its development among youth. Explore strategies that connect STEM to everyday life, strategies to highlight the social impact of STEM, and ways to share personal stories of STEM professionals.

How to Encourage & Engage Girls in STEM2D

This self-directed eLearning Module lays the foundation for why it is important to engage girls with STEM. Learn how to address issues of unconscious bias and gain tips for engaging young women, as well as young men, from traditionally marginalized backgrounds who are under-represented in the STEM sector.
